For example: If I pick up leather, I only want to see highlighted buildings of where it can go and not mistakenly send it to the kitchen where my wagon or caravan sits idle for ten minutes until I notice my mistake. It would be great that if I am sending an item to a building, it is the correct and only building. I also wish I could place rechargers while still in underground mode, or see where my pipes are in normal mode so I can line them up with out having to toggle back and forth.ģ. It is important to know that I am connecting to the correct building for the resource. Recently, I have really been annoyed that I can't tell what buildings are in the underground view when setting up fluid and mana pipes. Or Iron plates are used by this building for these items.Ģ. For example: Milk is for cheese and butter in the kitchen. Better and more thorough descriptions for what buildings do or how raw materials may be used in later gameplay. I anticipate that once I start Town 8, I will have more kinks worked out.ġ. I have caravans going all over the place. I am barely able to utilize packagers in a useful way.
FACTORY TOWN MANA POWER HOW TO
It took me a while to figure out trains and how to integrate them. It's not the most elegant or efficient, but my people are happy and the resources get to where they need to go.

I am on my seventh town and have gotten the farthest I have ever gotten as far as tech and advancement goes. More descriptions and explanations of what things do or need to operate, or what an object is for would have been helpful. It was difficult to figure some things out in the beginning. I have been playing this game a while and watched a number of tutorials and walkthroughs, etc. Any additional items will be added to the Input+Output slots, allowing them to be removed by workers & belts for further production.Īll legacy assignments map over like this, and actual behavior is unchanged: Those slots will fill up first and retain their items. Note, this can be very helpful if you want to create a buffer of construction items midway through a production chain! Route your production chain through a Barn, then set its top few slots to 'Input' only. Planks can be input into the building, but can only be removed by the player during construction, not by any in-game workers or gadgets. In the example above, the building will not receive any more Pears, but workers/belts/trains can remove them. The purpose of this option is to let the player decide if the inventory slot should accept new items (say, you want to stop receiving a specific item), and if it outputs items it is holding (if you want the item to be preserved in shared storage for construction, and not taken away by workers/belts/trains/etc). Previously, if you clicked on a storage building's inventory slot you were presented with an option that cycled between 'Storage', 'Input', 'Output', and 'Disabled'. Reworked UI for inventory input / output options
